Brother's Apartment House on Fire

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. >> The two-story home at 18-20 Russell St. in the village was fully engulfed in flames and the blaze had started to spread to the roof of a neighboring residence before firefighters were even able to get to the scene, neighbors said Sunday. One person was killed and 10 others injured in a fire that ripped through a Russell Street apartment house early Saturday morning April 21st, a fire official said.

Nawabzada A. Khan, 37, his wife Momna Khan, and their 10-year-old son, who lived in Apartment 1, suffered burns and were taken to Westchester Medical Center, where they, too, were in critical but stable condition, police said Monday.The Khans’ 3-year-old and 9-year-old daughters were not injured and were being taken care of by relatives, police said. Family lost everything family now needs to rebuild their life from basic necessities to relocating back into a home of their own. They will be using the donations mainly for new housing and medical expenses. Donations will go directly to the family, and any amount is greatly appreciated. Prayers and help needed for everyone that was affected by this horrific tragedy.
