Please support me as I run for my BRAVE 10 year old nephew - Brooks Tonn.
I have run marathons many times before, but never have I done so with such meaning. In January of 2017, Brooks was diagnosed with an aggressive pediatric cancer. We have been inspired, moved and amazed as Brooks has fought this monster head on. Although, at times, this experience has brought our entire family to our knees, never has Brooks lost his spirit, determination or never ending optimism. We follow his lead and all remain BROOKS STRONG.
I promised Brooks I would run and raise money to help him and other kids with cancer. On October 8 I will be running the Chicago Marathon. I will follow that up by running the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC on October 22. Portions of the money raised will be donated to The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation in Brooks' name and the remainder will be used for expenses, including medical expenses, incurred by Brooks and his family. (Rob Tonn, Brooks' father, will act as beneficiary of this account.)
