Brooklynn's Trip to Colombia

Donation protected
I've just been accepted to a class in UNC's School of Media and Journalism that will take a trip to Medellín, Colombia in March (during our spring break). The purpose of the trip is to report and tell the stories of the millions of Venezuelan migrants crossing Colombia's border due to an economic crisis in their country. This is an opportunity I feel incredibly blessed to have been selected for multiple reasons. The first is that I will be part of a team reporting on one of the world's biggest current issues. Secondly, when I turned 18, I set a goal to visit every Spanish-speaking country in the world, and so far, this is the third year in a row that God has made this possible for me.

The funds you donate will cover transportation fees including the flight from Raleigh to Colombia in addition to transportation to and from the airport. It will also cover other logistical expenses such as lodging. The journalism school has already helped me with aid, but because we're taking the trip in early March, students have to have the full cost of the trip ($2100) by the end of February. No donation is too small, and I'll be eternally grateful. This is my opportunity to take a step closer to my goal of Spanish fluency in addition to using my reporting skills. Thank you so much.
