Help Brody and Hunter
On April 13th, 2016 two future NHL stars just couldnt wait to see the world any longer. Unfortunately, these enthusiastic little guys came about three months too early.
Morgan and Tyler welcomed their miracle babies, Brody Anthony Thompson and Hunter James Thompson, and have not left their sides since.
Brody, weighed 1 pound 8 ounces, his younger brother Hunter weighed 2 pounds 6 ounces.
Brody and Hunter face an uphill battle in the NICU, but are growing stronger everyday.
We are asking for donations to help take some of the financial stress off the family, so Morgan and Tyler can solely focus on the health and protection of their baby boys.
Any donation is so greatly appreciated and no donation is too small. If you are unable to donate, please share this page. Thank you.
"Some of you may know and others may not but Brody came home yesterday! For the first time since he was born!! He unfortunately will have to go back to the hospital on the 4th of April for a hernia repair surgery and G/J tube placement surgery. He would be coming home after this on the 10. He still is on a ventilator to help him breathe but is doing great! The doctor gave us a rough timeline and can see him having no ventilator in about a year to year and half and then having no trach by the age of 4. She says he is doing amazing from where he once was. We are so excited to have him home and have our family complete. We wanna say thank you guys for sticking beside us and helping us along the way. It has been a crazy journey. Thank you for all the support!

Hunter & Brody"
Its been awhile since we've given an update. We have been quite busy between Hunter being home and everything that's going on with Brody. The boys will be 5 months old on the 13th.
Hunter has been home for about 2 months now and we absolutely love having him home. He sleeps through the night now which is awesome! Hunter sleeps with his eyes open sometimes and it kinda creeps us out. He's up to 10lbs now. Taking his bottles like a champ. He loves tummy time and smiling at people. He's a happy baby.
Brody is doing great. He's up to 8lbs now and is continuing to grow which is great! He's taking his feedings well. A lot of talk has gone down with the doctors this past month with what is next for him and they have decided that a tracheostomy is the best. (A tracheostomy is
the construction of an artificial opening through the neck into the trachea, usually for the relief of difficulty in breathing.) Having a trach in will allow him to interact with Hunter and others and carrying out everyday activities as a baby would. Brody will be having his surgery tomorrow, Thursday. They don't expect him home until his 1st birthday. I'm hoping he will be able to come home sooner than that but we will see.
Thank you guys for all the continued support.

The boys are now 4 days and two months old! Where has the time gone?! Its been a long two months but happy with where we are at today! All of this craziness is starting to wear on us. Especially the fact that we have to manage our time between the two hospitals. But I'm just happy that our boys are getting healthier and stronger each day.
Hunter is now 6lbs 9oz!! Crazy to think that's how small I was when I was born. He's still getting stuck on 2 liters of flow for his high flow. He's now taking some of his food by bottle! The nurses say he's taking the bottles like a rock star!! They say most babies cant do it while on 2 litters or more. They are hoping with him getting the bottle routine down that it will help with weaning his oxygen. They say once he gets eating from a bottle down and he's still stuck on the oxygen they can send him home with an oxygen tank. I'm hoping he'll be off it before he comes home but we shall see. He should be coming home around the beginning of next month if all is still well!!
Brody is now 4lbs 6oz!! He's looking like a healthy baby now. He's getting feed breast milk! And is taking it well! He's becoming more active and starting to open his eyes more now that he's off most of his medication! He is still on breathing support because his lungs are so sick. But we are headed in the right direction they are getting better slowly as each day passes. I'll take any improvement especially with him. They don't expect him home till September.. I'm hoping for sooner but we will see.
Thank you guys for all the support and prays.

The boys are 45 days old an doing good.
Hunter is now 4lbs 14oz! He is our chunky boy! He is on High Flow for his breathing. Which is just nose prongs that are giving extra flow of oxygen to him. He is now on 2 liters of extra flow. The last step on this support is 1 litter and then he will hopefully be off of breathing support! They hope to start bottle feeding him soon! He is more alert each and every day!
Brody is now up to 2lbs 8oz which isn't too bad considering the fact he has been getting milk or formula. He is our little miracle baby that is for sure! He rocked his heart surgery and the doctors where very pleased with how well he did for being so small. Surgeons normally don't do his kind of surgery until the babies are at least 5lbs. So the doctors where very pleased with how well he took it! Now that his heart problem is taken care of they are focusing on his lungs. With all the extra fluid they were getting while he had is heart problem causes some damage. So the doctors are focusing on getting his lungs fully inflated and strong! They are slowly getting better as each day goes by. They hope to start feeds sometime this week.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and prayed for our sweet babies. It is very appreciated. Continued prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much.
