Support For Brittany & Lynn

Donation protected

On the morning of May 15, 2017, Brittany Jacobs, daughter of Lynn Jacobs, and her colleagues accompanied by many students, were headed to Washington D.C. for an end-of-year class trip. While driving southbound on I95 in Maryland, another vehicle cut in front of their bus causing the bus to swerve, lose control and ultimately the bus rolled several times. The severity of the accident shut down I95 southbound and became breaking news nationwide. During this horrific event Brittany sustained severe injuries including head trauma. Brittany was airlifted from the accident scene and flown to UMD Trauma where she underwent emergent brain surgery. Currently, Brittany is in stable but critical conditions.

Brittany Jacobs is a beautiful soul. Her smile lights up any room. Her demeanor is gentle and meek. She is a gracious young woman with a heart of gold and has a passion to serve others & share love with many. Brittany is an Educator, teaching special education for the School District of Philadelphia; Living in her purpose to teach our youth and guide them toward bright futures. Brittany is a community HERO and touches the lives of so many children in her classrooms.
Even beyond teaching, Brittany uses her time to provide tutoring services after school and participates with coaching several sports teams for her students.

Brittany graduated from Temple University with her Bachelors Degree and then attained her Master's degree from Cabrini.
Brittany is an active member of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church serving on Nursing Home ministry and visiting local nursing homes spending time with and bringing joy to our senior citizens.   Brittany is a Christian; a wonderful soul that loves her family & friends and would do anything she could for a complete stranger.

This family is going to need as much support as they can get during this extremely difficult time. We are asking for your Financial support; assistance with food, lodging, parking and personal expenses for her mother during this time as she has had to temporarily relocate from Philadelphia to Baltimore while Brittany stabilizes and heals - Commuting would be at least 5 hrs a day to and from and would not be feasible. It is best to remain close to Brittany and be the advocate she needs while she is so critical. Brittany is not stable enough to move to the Philadelphia region at this time. This leaves both Brittany and Lynn out of work while Brittany fights to become medically stable and begin rehabilitating. This is the beginning of a very long battle for both Lynn and Brittany.

We appreciate your donations big or small and if you are unable to give we still can use the positive reinforcement by simply posting #PullthroughBrittany as a sign of faith that Brittany will pull through this ordeal at 100%.  The funds will be used for necessities and any remaining funds will be donated to a trauma organization to be a blessing to anyone else who may have this same tragedy occur to them.

We thank you in advance for everything. May God bless you richly.
