Bristol Half-Marathon for Global Fund for Women

Hello hello! Thank you so much for visiting my GoFundMe page!

I'll be running the Bristol Half-Marathon on the 15th of September 2019 in aid of the Global Fund for Women. This charity exists to support the tireless and courageous efforts of grassroots groups who work every day to win rights for self-identifying women and girls (both cis and transgender).

I'm definitely not a long distance runner (or a runner - period!). However, a recent turn of (scary) events have made me both eternally grateful for my health and for our FREE healthcare here in the UK. I'd really love to raise some money to help women everywhere access to the support they need too - in whatever capacity! So please donate what you can, every penny counts!

I'm running for women all around the world who deserve to feel STRONG, SAFE, POWERFUL AND HEARD.  

I'm running for women to have rights over their bodies, sexuality, and resources they need to exercise those rights. Particularly since Trump's reinstatement of the Global Gag Rule, which has both removed funding for family planning aid in the US ($575 million worth) and across the globe ($9.5 billion). 

I'm running for a world free of violence against women in ALL its forms (not just physical).

I'm running for equal wages, secure workplaces, and economic justice for women.

I'm running for the education of our future female leaders. 

I'm running for all the incredible women in my life, but especially my sister and mum - my rock and inspiration to keep going. 

I'm running to grab misogyny by the pussy,

and I'm running for me.
