HELP ME BRING HISTORY TO LIFE WITH A DONATION
I'm originally from Tucson, Arizona where historic places before the 19th century are pretty scarce. In 2009 after four great years at the University of Arizona studying Art History specifically Spanish medieval art and architecture, I decided to make my move to Europe. I relocated to Madrid, Spain to be closer to the art and history that I loved.
In 2011 I started my blog in an effort to keep myself interested in the subject and not lose touch with what I am so passionate about.

My goal was to bring lesser known historical places and objects to the masses through experience. The world is rich in historical gems that don't reach the general public purely due to lack of exposure. Unless I show up!
After 6 years I have a staggering following of 253,000 followers worldwide. I have travelled extensively through Spain, visited numerous European countries and am now exploring English treasures in Southern England.
What I really want to do is capture these gems in a way that is visual and accessible to anyone thus encouraging people to visit and experience them first hand.
There are beautiful historical sites around the world that fall into disrepair due to lack of funding. Conservation is dying. I have stumbled upon ancient churches crumbling into pieces, Roman villas left unattended and forgotten castles. These are keys pieces to our history and future. Without places to visit and remember where we come from we'll never know where we should go.
My next steps are clear:
- Create and design a fully interactive app focused on important historical sites that are often missed
- Create an entertaining and informative place for anyone to learn about history
- Create comprehensive guides on how to visit these places along with exclusive tips on how to go beyond the basic tourist experience. Highlight the historical significance and importance of each location with direct relation to our lives today
- Discover and visit more historical places across Europe and feature them for both awarness and conservation
- Launch affordable educational resources for students across the world
In order to achieve all of this I need some handy dandy tools to move forward which includes high quality camera equipment, software, plane tickets and expenses to capture these amazing things for you to enjoy.
