BRING HOME OUR BABY BOY

Donation protected
On Friday 15th September approx 11:30am we were involved in a major car accident. we were approx 1.5 hours north of Rockhampton, Qld 151ks south of Sarina, 90ks south of Carmila & approx 10ks south of St Lawrence turn off on the Bruce Hwy.

A truck overtook us on the hwy which generated extra wind on an already windy day and caused the caravan to sway uncontrollably causing the car and caravan to jackknife, flip and roll down the embankment into the scrub. Both the caravan and car have been written off.

With help both adults and 2 dogs cleared the wreckage however during this time the people helping us from the accident let our beloved puppy go at the side of the Hwy.

Otis is a 1 year old white Maltese cross puppy with pre-existing spinal issues and no doubt injured and in a lot of pain. Otis was scared after such a traumatic experience he ran into a farm behind the accident site.

We camped overnight at the side of the Bruce amongst our belongings and destruction and spent countless hours on foot searching for him throughout the day and night.

During the night a truck driver pulled up and stole our new mattress and other personal belongings from the side of the road approx 1 meter from where we were laid in our shower tent and makeshift bed. As such we have very little left.

That being said we would like to offer a cash reward for the safe return of our loved family member it's not much but it's all we have left to our name and anyone that can get our baby boy home safe is welcome to it!

Otis was wearing a black dog harness with reflectors on and a name tag with our mobile number. We are asking people to check their farm sheds, outbuilding and around shaded trees and water sources. He is very much loved and missed. Please help bring our baby home!

Whilst our focus is on finding our baby I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has shared our post in hopes of a safe return.

We would also like to thank the Emergency services who attended with a special thanks to the fire guys that helped us erect a shower tent at the side of the hwy whilst in a state of shock and distress in order for us to camp the night and search for Otis on foot.

We would like to thank Rob from Carmila Mechanical and Dr Graeme for rescuing some of our belongings and keeping them safe until we were able to collect.

Our post has gone bigger than we could ever have dreamed but we are so thankful to each and everyone of you. We would also like to be very clear in stating we are not holding anyone responsible or portioning blame for what happened anywhere.

We are simply trying to get our baby boy back home. ❤️ we may have lost our home, car & belongings but we were able to survive the accident when so many others haven't. We are blessed and humbled!

Please keep an eye out for Otis and pray for his safe return we miss him dearly. Our body's will heal but our hearts are broken!

We are hoping maybe with a little help we can organise a helicopter, small plane or drone to fly around the area in hopes of covering more ground and finding our baby boy.

Again thank you to each and everyone of you that have shared our Facebook posts and wished us well.

Xxx
