Bring hope to stop my mom's cancer

Donation protected
A little over two months ago my mother started not only having a persistent cough, but she was also losing weight and having difficulties to fall asleep. She suffered significantly since Venezuela is currently undergoing a severe humanitarian crisis due to the economic and political instability. The quality of life is very poor, and the lack of basic services such as domestic water, power, food, and medicines is considerable. My mother did not have domestic water for over three weeks, and all local pharmacies were not able to supply her medicines. These deficiencies affect the daily life of all Venezuelans, among them, my mother.

To relief the suffering for a few weeks, and thanks to many family efforts, we were able to purchase a flight ticket to the U.S. so she could spend her birthday and some vacations close to their children.

Few days prior to her trip her health declined, the coughing increased, and the local order her to get tomography images taken. The results shown some pulmonary spots, and the possible diagnosis at the moment was pulmonary cancer. Our lives changed drastically. Fear, despair, and hopelessness took over the family, and to contribute, the situation in Venezuela was worsening day by day. The hospital and medical limitations continued increasing, and the chances to carry out the proper examinations were minimal due to the lack of supplies, chemical reagents, and equipment.

Time passed by, the trip was approaching, and the family considered that this visit was going to be beneficial for her since it was going to fill her with positivity and good energies, and her mood would improve.

However, her health continued deteriorating and required medical assistance, assistance that we all know can be very expensive. In addition to this, we later found out that the travel insurance she has does not cover these type of events.

With great effort, and a lots of support from God, family, friend and special people that we have meet along this way, like the one doctor that is providing assistance on how to receive financial help, but still is not enough or the time frame while we wait or we got a negative answer from institutions. We turned to our family and we were able to gather and borrow enough to cover the costs of all tests and examinations specified by the doctor.

The results indicated that the coughing was caused by a type of cancer called Leiomysarcoma. which turned into metastasis and needs to be treated urgently. Knowing that the situation in Venezuela is far from getting resolved in a short period of time, and my mother is not in a stable condition to travel, we use this platform to ask with great faith and love for your donation so we can cover all medical costs associated to this treatment and give my mother not only the hope she needs to continue fighting this disease and to make possible the miracle of seeing it finally gone, but also to give her the quality of life she deserves.

Help us with your donation. I am fully convinced that this cancer and all this situation we are going through is not a death sentence, it is an opportunity for us to overcome and rise above all difficulties and live every day with hope and love.

Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for your donation, thank you for spreading the word, and thank you for giving us hope.
