Loss of a Loved One is heartbreaking. When this loss is your 6 year-old child, it is earth-shattering.
On Saturday, August 11th, 2018, Joseph Romeo received this earth-shattering call that his daughter had been murdered in Rio Rancho, NM.. and he was thousands of miles away in Wimauma, FL, where he lives with his family including Ariana Jade’s youngest of her big brothers. Her two older brothers and all of her family all live nearby, as well.
Ariana Jade was a beautiful child. She loved to play and gallop around bringing up the energy in any room. She was very smart, and loved people very much. She was always sensitive to how other people were feeling, and was very excited about school, learning, and making friends.
Ariana Jade was living with her mother in New Mexico, and her father was fighting to have her come live with him and near the rest of her family. As you can imagine, laying this Angel to rest was not what he had in mind when he was fighting to bring her home.
To transport her home, and for her funeral, her father is being quoted at about $10,000. I have raised that bar just a bit to include costs toward a headstone and any traveling and work loss expenses that may be accrued in this time of deep mourning. If there is any surplus, it will be donated to The National Children’s Alliance.
