Brianne's Kidney Transplant

To know Brianne is to love her; she has the most infectious laugh, a vibrant zest for life and travel and adventure, strongest faith and is so beautiful inside and out.

In 2015, what Brianne had chalked up to a long lasting cold turned out to be vasculitis. Brianne recovered from her illness but never fully got completely back feeling like her normal self.

In 2016, during a move across the country, Brianne ended up in the hospital in Edmonton where they discovered the damage from the vasculitis was far worse then imagined, at only 32 years old Brianne was told she was in kidney failure and her kidneys were functioning at only 25%. Within a few months that fell to 14% and her function is currently at 11%.

The last 18 months have been filled with great uncertainty, pain, doctors appointments, moves back across the country, illness, time in the hospital and fatigue but through God's grace, her amazing son, Jackson, her amazing husband, Mitch and extended family and friends by her side, Brianne has remained a shining light in the midst of another trial. 

On June 4th Brianne received the news that she had finally been placed on the transplant list. It was long awaited news and cause for much celebration but she was also told her wait could be up to four years.

June 20th, Brianne received a call that there was a potential match!
The planning stages have just began but its expected that in September/October, Brianne, Mitch and Jackson will travel to Toronto where they will remain for approximately a month.

The news of all of this is so amazing and exciting but the reality is its also so very expensive. The money raised will go towards all transportation, hotel stays, food and any other costs associated. What money isn't directed and used up by those things for the Perry's will be given to the amazing and selfless Kaycee St. Pierre who is making this kidney possible for Brianne.

At just 30 years old, Kaycee, Brianne's very dear friend and Mom of two, is going to be gifting one of her kidneys to someone in need; while Brianne won't be the recipient of it, the gift of life is two fold, for the actual recipient and to Brianne who gets the reward for her friends selfless act. During Kaycee's time away she will not have an income and will need to travel to the location where the kidney is needed.

There are no words to describe how much we appreciate any donation given.  Watching Brianne persevere the way she has has been a blessing on our lives and such an amazing example of faith.  This Go Fund Me is our way of coming along side of her and returning the love and blessings back.
