Brian Homeier SP603
Donation protected
Brian Homeier completed the extensive and demanding MN State Patrol Trooper Academy on Tuesday, May 17th, 2016. Brian and his family’s pride were evident as he walked across the stage at graduation. His wife and two daughters pinned badge 603 on his chest. Brian’s uncle, Ted Foss, a MN State Patrol Trooper killed in the line of duty, was watching from his place of blessed honor.
A few short days after graduation Brian began feeling ill. By Sunday he was diagnosed with cancer. He was trained to be a warrior when needed, and now is the time! He is fighting testicular cancer which has migrated to his brain, lungs and liver. His team of physicians say the academy prepared him for his journey, he is young, in excellent physical shape and has the fortitude and attitude of a strong leader. He can beat this they say, though the road will be tough, just like Brian.
Positive thoughts and warrior status, however, do not mitigate the need for support, especially financial support for his family. Because of Brian’s short tenure he does not have banked time and is now off the payroll. For the same reason he does not qualify for support programs such as vacation donation. His insurance costs, additional medical bills, all the needs of his family must be met so Brian can concentrate on getting back in uniform.
Please do what you can, support Brian. Brothers and sisters in law enforcement, supporters of Brian, those with a cancer fighting cause, people wishing to pay it forward, or those with a passion to help others, UNITE… donate to help someone so willing and passionate to protect and serve you!
