Brian Wang's Metastasized Rectal Cancer Fund

After only being married for two years, Brian (age 32)  was diagnosed with Stage 1 Rectal Cancer on July 2016.  Despite no family history of rectal cancer, healthy lifestyle, and regular exercise, the doctors were surprised to discover a tumor that required two operations to remove it and subsequently declared him clear of cancer.   Since then, he has been diligent with his blood work and check ups.  After being told that there is no tumor or signs of cancer during his June 2018 colonoscopy, his blood work at Kaiser Permanente a month later  showed an elevated CEA level.  His CT Scan and PET Scan showed that he had Stage 4 Metastasized Rectal cancer that has spread to his liver, pelvic bone, and lymph nodes.  

Brian is a man full of love, integrity and compassion for his family and friends.  We share his story to compel you to provide prayers, positive thoughts, and financial support during the most challenging time in his life.  As he fights for his life, this GoFundMe page has been created to share the news of his prognosis and current health status.  EQUALLY important, the fight against his cancer has caused a great financial burden to Brian's family because he has been unable to work.  His wife, now the sole income earner, will be required to take an extended un-paid time off to provide care for Brian while juggling mounting medical bills, a mortgage, and other bills.   MORE importantly, they are now pursuing alternative methods of treatment because his liver levels are currently very elevated and therefore is unable to take traditional chemotherapy.
