Brent Bzoskie Kidney Failure

Donation protected
In February of  2017, Brent was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy with crescents, also known as Berger's disease, which is an auto immune kidney disease. He is now in renal failure and on daily dialysis at home in TX.  Brent is currently on a donor list and needs a kidney transplant, at the age of 39. After numerous tests at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester,  I thankfully and with God's blessing, will be able to donate one of my kidneys to him hopefully next month to end our family's nightmare. In the meantime, please help to support, with any means possible, towards my brothers increasing medical bills for this transplant and to help cover his extremely high deductable and out of pocket expenses.

This all began on December 30th 2016, Brent had been having migraines for the last month and could not handle it any longer and went to the Dr on New Years Eve. When there, he was rushed to the hospital, after having stroke level high blood pressure, where is stayed until January 2nd after running many test. On January 20th, he went in to have a biopsy on his kidney and the first week of February was diagnosed with this auto immune disease. Brent then was put on a numerous amounts of medication to control his highblood pressure and try to maintain his kideney disease. This disease took over his body quickly and at the end of May, Brent flew up here for a 2nd opinion at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The news was worse than we thought, he was told he was close to renal failure and needed a transplant and to be put on the donor list immediatly. He then came back in August to run through 3 days worth of medical tests.

In Sept is where I began to run the tests as well to see if I could be a potential match. The first round of blood tests were promising, so Oct 6th I went to the Mayo clinic as well to have the same tests done on me, to make sure I was healthy enough and a right match. On Oct 9th my tests were completed and the prilimary results show I am a match. However, the last descision comes after their transplant committee agrees and then we can move forward with the surgery.
