Support Brendan's Needed Reconstructive Surgery
My brother Brendan has been battling obesity his whole life and over the last few years has worked extremely hard to change his life and lose 246 pounds. He has almost reached his goal weight of 250 pounds and is now left with allot of skin and will need reconstructive surgery to remove the access skin. Approximately 50 pounds of skin will be removed. The total cost of the surgery is 40,000 this is after bc medical has covered its portion. The cost of the surgery is much more then what he had originally anticipated. The surgery will cover chest, tummy tuck, thighs, lower back and arms. Brendan will also be off work for 8 weeks and be without pay. We are hoping we could help Brendan raise money to achieve his goal and complete his weight loss journey. Any donation will be appreciated.

This is my Story…
My entire life, I was a big guy.
In 2010, I hit rock bottom, I had reached my highest weight.
I was 505 pounds, 26 years old, standing at 5'9”.
This is my story of blood, sweat and tears. A journey of discipline, perseverance and the willingness to never give up.
People spend their entire lives trying to achieve their goals and dreams, and I am one more step closer to fulfilling mine.
We all have dreams, some of us it’s about becoming rich or famous. Mine was simple.
Ever since I was a child, my dream was always to lose weight and become fit.
I have always been a big guy and in September 2010 I weighed 505 pounds.
I have experienced a lot of pain, hardship and judgment over my life. People would constantly ridicule me, they would laugh at me, stare and call me the fattest person they had ever seen. With all that pain inside, I never gave up.
For as long as I can remember I have tried to lose weight. I tried everything including surgery which was not a fix, and time and time again it ended with failure. All the things I tried only fueled my passion to keep working harder and never give up on life. It taught me that my life is important and I was worth it.
After suddenly losing my father and doctors advising me that I would not see life past 30, I realized life was too precious. I had one of two choices; either continue enjoying life with the time I had left ending my life early because of my weight, or recreate myself and start my journey into a healthier and better me. It wasn't easy, there where days I wanted to give up, days I was physically and mentally exhausted but I never gave up and I promised myself no matter what, I wasn't going to quit.
So with that, I decided to do the inevitable and join a local gym. This is where I met Bill Fraser who runs The Academy, my MMA instructor, coach and friend. Who would have thought that 4 ½ years ago, Bill convinced me to join a class that introduced me to a whole new world. I watched those who trained – they were athletic, fit and strong. I couldn’t see myself becoming like them. At times I was discouraged due to my size but Bill pushed and drove me to excel and never allowed me to feel any different. Since then, I have worked hard, won Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and have inspired many people.
I am closer than ever to realizing my dream. I have reached out to Tony Senerchia and Celine Leichner at Fitness Excellence. With their great facility and expertise, they are very excited to be a part of my journey and work with me to fulfil my dream of becoming Brendan 2.0!
With the support of friends, family, my trainers Celine, Tony, and Bill I will fulfill my dream and nothing will stop me.
I have now dedicated my entire life to my well-being and dream of becoming healthy.
As of today I have lost over 246 pounds.
The boy who struggled and had a dream is now an inspiration and a symbol of hope, hope for others who live with doubt, fear, and ridicule because of their weight.
