Computer for High School Robotics

Donation protected
We are an urban high school (FTC) robotics team from Rockford, IL.

The robotics league we belong to has implemented a new way to control the robot this season. This new control set-up includes using applications, which are developed by the students and powered by Android cell phones. This kind of application development will be used extensively in the future, and it is a great learning experience for the students. Unfortunately for our team, it also has an expensive start up cost. Our district doesn’t have computers which allows us to use the program's software to develop these applications. This being said, we will have to purchase a laptop computer that can be used without the school district's protective software, a protective case for the laptop, data wires, and other accessories for the computer.

This will allow us to program our robot, so we can go out and kick some butt!

The money will be used only for the robotics team and won't be used for anything but to help our team get the computer we need to program our robot for competitions.

By helping us fund this goal, you will be helping low income inner-city students gain experience and skills, which they can use in their future life, and it can help to develop the desire in these students to pursue engineering and programming careers in the future.

This truely could be a life changer for these students.
