Born nine weeks premature, four-year-old Avannah Walker, suffers from a condition called Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy.
Because of this condition, Avannah has difficulty communicating with others. Her only independence comes from her wheelchair.
Having researched Avannah’s condition her mother Shauna has discovered that Stem Cell treatment has be known to work on others suffering from the same condition as Avannah.
Her family are hoping to now raise some much needed funds to bring Avannah to America for this treatment.
The DIT Mature Student society are a holding a 'DIT Brave The Shave' event on April 12th to help fundraise for her treatment.
