Hi my name is Maura Grier and I am 15 years old. I am the person behind bravery blankets. Bravery blankets is an organization dedicated to making then donating blankets to the interventional radiology department at AI DuPont hospital for children. It would mean a lot if you would donate anything so I can get fabric to make a lot of blankets! The story behind it is that I have had medical issues since age 6. I have ehlers danlos syndrome (a connective tissue disorder) and other medical conditions that come with this. I have had 4 major surgeries and after the most recent I began with chronic nausea that has since left me on a feeding tube (NJ tube). An NJ tube is a tube that goes in your nose down your throat pass your stomach and into the small intestine. This uncomfortable but nessacary procedure is done in IR and in many cases awake. There are many other procedures don't in IR that kids have to endure and I want to reward those kids with a blanket for their bravery, hence the name "bravery blankets"
