Brave Braids - Bad Into Good

Donation protected
As a 3rd grader, my daughter went through a period of really tough bullying last year. She tried different ways to get through it and came up with what she calls Brave Braids.

She says,  "When I was scared or nervous, I could reach in my pocket and stretch it or put my fingers through it to find calm and confidence." She has made them and given them to friends but wants to share them with other children who might be going through the same thing, but don't know how to tell someone.

She asked if she could sell them and donate the money to the kids fighting their own battles at St. Jude. How could we say no?! She is selling them for $1 or any donation that fits. She's recruited her sister and they have spent all of their free time working on these Brave Braids.

She say, "The most important thing about them is that they are not perfect, but none of us are and that is what makes them special."

We are asking you to help kids who might not know they are being bullied but know they are in a situation they don't like. We are asking you to help kids who might not know how to tell an adult what's happening to them. We hope that we can make a difference by spreading love and comfort - then pay that love and comfort forward to children at St. Jude...

Feel free to share our story - or share yours, too!
