Hello all,
My name is Kenneth Blaine Hoover. I am 46 years of age ... from Oil City Pa.  A lot of area residents know me as "the little brown haired boy who was at my Grandfather's side. My Grandfather was Rennie Schneider...he was the athletic director of the OIL CITY YMCA for many years.  I always looked up to him..he taught me so much.  I know he is watching over me and I miss him so very much!

A little over Two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare type of Brain Cancer known as Diffuse Astrocytoma. It is inoperable..as it is located deep inside my brain in the right temporal lobe....they are treating it with Chemotherapy and Radiation.

Jennifer and I were sleeping on the night of Nov 22, 2016....when I had a grand mal seizure out of nowhere. Jennifer dialed 911....next thing I remember ... I was being life-flighted to UPMC Hamot to get my head cracked open....so they could relieve the pressure on my brain...and take a biopsy. Jennifer was 8 months pregnant at this time with our little girl Hope. As I recovered...I began to think about my family and our future. When this happened...I was the sole provider of our family as a self-employed contractor...and was making a decent income... But what was I going to do now...with Jennifer ...2 children and one on the way...how was I going to take care of them? Now...I am paralyzed on my left side and I also have Lyme Disease...I can't work and can't play with my kids like I used to....I can't even change their diapers. I have to use a wheelchair now...as my right side is giving out on me....my doctor's are giving me about a year to live. I never imagined my life to turn out this way... I had finally found the love of my life in Jennifer...and was so happy to have started a family with her...now she is forced to take care of me...our children...our house...and the only income we have is my social security disability...which is only 858. Dollars per month....that does not go far when we have a mortgage ... Van payment... Insurance...utilities...etc...all of which we have fallen behind on.

I am asking for some financial help (which I am so reluctant to do..I never asked for help...I was the one you would call for help with your plumbing emergencies...roofing emergencies..etc)

December 13th our little Girl Hope had a cardiac arrest due to low hemoglobin levels and is now in Pediatric ICU at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital.  Jennifer has been with her every day...and commuting back and forth 2 hours one way to take care of me and our 2 boys as well.   Please help however you can....myself and my family will pay it forward as soon as we can.
