Brad's Battle and Recovery Fund

Donation protected
This is Brad's 4th battle with cancer. This fight is far fiercer than the others.

Brad is a retired Army and Navy Seabee veteran who was medically discharged in 2007. He is a loving husband to Christine, father of 5 adult children, and a proud grandparent of 8 (and one more on the way).

Brad was first diagnosed with cancer in December of 2009. Doctors removed his left eye 3 months later in February 2010 in an attempt to control the spreading of the cancer. He also endured chemotherapy and radiation for 6 weeks.

Brad would remain in remission for 2 years before his cancer returned in December 2012. Again, the cancer was surgically removed.

In July of 2015 the cancer returned again, requiring the removal of the parotid gland and a nerve from the left side of his face. A splint was put in place to hold up his expression because the left side of his face is now paralyzed as a result.

The Current Battle

November 2016: Brad received news that his mom had been diagnosed with the onset of Dementia and moved from his home in New Mexico to Boise, ID for the winter to be her care taker.

December 2016: While in Boise caring for his ailing mother, Brad was rushed to the ER for lack of oxygen. It was found that the cancer had returned, this time, in his right lung and on his entire spine. Doctors placed a drain in his right lung so that he could drain the accumulation of fluid in his lung twice a week.

February 2017: It was found that the cancer spread to both of his shoulders, both hips, ribs, and his upper right leg.

March 2017: The cancer has now spread to both lungs, requiring Brad to be on oxygen 100% of the time. Brad is also fighting several infections in addition to the cancer and has resorted to a wheelchair to mobilize.

Brad's 4th bout with cancer has already proven to be a different beast entirely than his first 3 encounters with this monster.

We are raising money for the mounting expenses that have accumulated as a result of Brad’s battle with cancer, the hopeful road to recovery and any future setbacks. Immediately, funds will allow Brad and his family to prepare for his current battle and help pay the bills, debt, therapy and the countless other costs associated with this nightmare.

The bills for Brad and his family have begun to pile up. Please consider supporting Brad and his family during this fight. Any amount will help alleviate the financial pressure they have experienced over this ordeal.

Brad and his wife Christine are grateful for your love and support. We ask that you continue to pray for them in this fight.
