Please Help Us Make It Through...

Hello everyone..so let me tell you about our life most recently. On March 1, we lost our home after a terrible storm. Since then, we have had love and support to try to keep us afloat as we figure out our next move. Everything seemed to be going okay for the time being...Then, out of nowhere, I fainted while at work. I was transported to the hospital and told I was dehydrated and in kidney failure. I had no idea what that meant..I am 22 years old. I needed to get out of the hospital and take care of my two year old daughter! Instead, I was kept in my hometown hospital and pumped full of so much fluid that I had fluid overload and couldn't even close my hands because they were so swollen. My creatinine continued to rise and the hospital did nothing except give me more and more fluid, even when I told then I was in pain. My family finally convinced the hospital to transport me to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, but the damage had already been done. By the time I arrived, I had so much excess fluid, I developed a heart murmur and needed oxygen because I had fluid in and around my lungs.

Ruby Memorial got my kidney levels where they needed to be and gave me lasix to try to get rid of the fluid..but it didn't work as well as we hoped. I was able to leave the hospital, but I had to come home on oxygen. I have to constantly carry around a tank or be hooked to my machine at home. I can't go back to work because of it..we have no idea when or if I'll be able to. Instead of worrying about being late getting somewhere, I now have to worry about running out of oxygen while I'm out and have to time everything perfectly. I was told today I will need to be tested next week to see if I have permanent damage. I plan on going after my hometown hospital if a lawyer will take my case, but for now, I honestly just need help to pay bills and take care of my daughter.
