Cameron had a positive blood type, and Sydney had negative; meaning that their blood streams mixed and Cameron's blood was seen as a virus to Sydneys body. There is a shot called rhogam to prevent her body from fighting him, though they were never asked what their blood types were in time. At 9 weeks pregnant, Sydney's body had already recognized him as a threat. Since Cameron did not have an autopsy there will be no penalty from the doctor who failed to ask what their blood types were before 9 weeks. Their insurance will not help with his funeral nor will it pay for all of the extra tests they did to try to help Cameron. Please send love & support to their family during this difficult time.
