Box of Sweetness

Hi my name is Maddie Hickey, I am 15 years old and I have started a non-profit organization called Box of Sweetness. Each box is put together by me, local people in my town, and friends from school. The boxes are full of different gifts for teens staying in the hospital. Boxes include things such as coloring books, socks, nail polish, headbands, stuffed animals, cards, games to play, and a note written by the person who put the box together. The money donated will go towards these gifts. My goal is to make 50 boxes by the end of January and each box has an estimated cost of 9 dollars. At the end of the month I will drop off  all the boxes at the Mayo Clinic hospital in Rochester, MN and give them to the teens staying there.  I started Box of Sweetness because I had to stay at the Mayo Clinic hospital just a year ago and know what it is like to be in their shoes. These boxes are a way to encourage teens and uplift them.  I am so thankful for all donations given.
