Matthew's College Fund

Matthew Taylor is no stranger to challenges. He was born with cerebral palsy — and has faced a tremendous amount adversity. Matthew has heard the word, "no" more times than anyone should. However, Matthew has turned the word "no" into "I'm going to make it happen."





From being told he wouldn't walk, he is now a runner. To being told he wouldn't graduate from high school, he now has his diploma.

Matthew was enrolled in a special education program at his high school and receive an exceptional student education (ESE) diploma.

Sadly, Matthew like many other students with special needs was not provided the resources needed to assist students with college readiness skills. Therefore, Matthew does don’t qualify for financial assistance due to having a non-traditional diploma. However, Matthew is a brilliant individual who deserves an opportunity to attend college.

Matthew’s advice is never to give up. “You can achieve your dreams with work.” He says there is nothing that he cannot do if he sets his mind to it, and he tries to prove that daily. Don't let his inability to pay for college hinder his dreams.
