Girls Play Baseball!
Please Help the Boston Slammers All-Girls Baseball Team Go to Nationals!
The Boston Slammers are an all-girl, travel baseball team. They work all year on skills building and empowering each other through teamwork, community and support.
Last year, the Slammers made it all the way to Rockford, Illinois and ended their season by becoming U11 2017 National Champions at the All-Girls National Tournament!! The girls competed against dedicated players from all over the country. They played hard, shared their stories and appreciated the opportunity to be just a baseball player and not "the girl on the team". The experience was so powerful, it is no surprise that this year we have enough players to bring three teams!
The teams are working hard to get back to the Baseball For All Nationals Tournament from August 2nd – 5th to defend their championship title! They practiced indoor all winter and are gearing up for another fantastic experience, win or lose. Please help us get them there! This tournament is the largest national all-girls baseball tournament in the country.
The Slammers are a team on and off the field, and the players have committed to a joint fundraising plan rather than asking each family to pay individually. We will not leave any player behind because she does not have enough money to go! Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help cover the costs of travel and equipment. If you are able, please donate any amount to help the girls play in the Baseball for All tournament this summer in Rockford Illinois. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, and no amount is too small.
Empowering girls who want to play baseball is what this is all about. And as is true in all aspects of parenting, it takes a village. These baseball-loving girls will make the most of this unique opportunity and will be deeply grateful for your support! It is awesome to see the pride they feel and how they support one another. It is so exciting to see how these teammates continue to grow and develop and how the power of team is instilled in them in all aspects of their lives.
These girls enjoy playing a game that they love on a team with other girls. Please consider donating to the team because you love baseball or because you love girls breaking boundaries! Please support these hard-working, sweet kids in what is going to be an empowering baseball journey! They need help to get there!
