To all the football enthusiasts, parents players and coaches, KIDS BRAINS MATTER TOO!!!
We know that the game of football, the sport we love, is being tarnished right now by concussions. I believe the NFL has the means to resolve its problem with concussions, but what about PAL (Police Athletic League), Pop Warner and high school players. We depend on , county, state and private funding to buy football equipment and most of this equipment is overused or outdated.
I played football from Pee Wee to semi-pro and I suffered several concussions during my playing days. I wonder myself if I have received any damage such as memory loss, coordination, etc. Right now I have nephews and cousins playing football and my concern is like any other parent, will they receive a concussion. And my question is what can I do to build safer equipment to protect the players that are playing the game today.
My solution to the problem is the BOSS Helmet. What makes the BOSS Helmet a safer helmet than what's on the market today is the helmets that are used has only two forms protection which are the outer shell that protects the skull and padding system for cushioning the blow.
What makes the BOSS Helmet superior in safety is that it has four forms of protection. (1)The outer shell is separated individually into 9 oval shaped panels to deflect the direct impact forces. (2)Shocks and bosses that absorbs the impact as it decompresses and disperses the impact energy. (3)The inner liner that protects the skull. (4)Specially designed padding system that is made out of a special type of memory foam.
I am an unfunded inventor who used all my financial resources in the patent, research, engineer and development of a prototype. But yet there is a final step, that I need $75,000 for the manufacturing of a helmet before I can have it tested and brought to the market to possibly save some kids from concussion by providing a safer helmet and hopefully save the sport of football from its bad reputation of concussions.
