The radiant people of the Island of Puerto Rico have been ravished by Hurricane Maria, the most damaging hurricane in the islands history.
Puerto Rico’s situation is urgent. Currently 100% of the island’s population (3.3 million) is without power making communications extremely hard. Many families are without food and water. Flooding and severe conditions have caused massive displacement and property damage.
Many people have reached out to us with the desire to volunteer their time and donations to those in need in Puerto Rico. Our Borinquen Soul's immediate family members have been directly affected and/or displaced by the aftermath of the hurricane. We have created a list of critically needed items that you can drop off at our restaurant:
DROP OFF AT 2020 MacAruthur Blvd Oakland California
diapers, baby food, batteries, first-aid supplies, feminine hygiene products, all hygiene products and clothes
Donations cannot be second-hand, or contain liquids of any kind. Open or unsealed donations of food or hygiene supplies will not be accepted, and wet wipes will also not be accepted.
Until the campaign ends on Oct. 2nd, Borinquen Soul will continue to push and fundraise as much as possible to help as many as we can. 100% of the donated funds distributed to the affected families of our employees and also donated to non-profits located in Puerto Rico working to provide relief and aid to the community.
