Books and Craft Supplies for Panamanian kids!

Hi Friends and Family!
Next month (January 7th, 2019), Lexus Helmar and I are making a trip down to Panama to visit my friend Andrea Giardina and the wonderful people of the village of Chicá! Andrea is a volunteer for the Peace Corps; she teaches environmental science and English to 130 Panamanian students, ranging from pre-K through 9th grade, at Centro Educativo Básico General Chicá. Andrea is also is a dedicated Girl Scout leader!
We don't want to show up in Panama empty handed, so we are asking for donations to help out Andrea's community in 2 ways:
1. Filling our suitcases full of craft supplies for Andrea’s girl scouts (construction paper, acrylic paint, markers, colored pencils, etc.)
2. Starting a library at Centro Educativo Básico General Chicá
As the child of a school librarian (hi Mom) I can’t understate the positive impact of having access to books and being encouraged to read throughout my childhood has had on my life! Reading novels is unfortunately not too common in Panama, but Andrea wants to change this starting with the young kids at her school. Centro Educativo Básico General Chicá currently doesn’t have a library; please help us to get one started!
