Boobs. The Musical.

So I wrote a musical....

OK. Most of you know me as a woodwind doubler or teacher. Having spent many a year participating as an orchestra pit member underneath the stage at various shows, never in my life did I ever think I would actually write one myself. Until last year...

This project came about after a certain straw broke a certain camel's back. I can elaborate on this over drinks, but it involved discrimination towards my gender. I thought to myself, either I can burn a bridge over this, or write some songs. Figuring the latter was the most prudent decision, I came up with a list of women-related topics to focus on that ended up being a mile long. One song turned into two, which turned into character ideas, and before I knew it, I had a show on my hands, aptly titled BOOBS.

On March 4th at The Tank I will be premiering the show (in reading format) to an audience of eager and perhaps slightly confused fans, friends, and family. This is what this Go Fund Me campaign will support:

-pay for my plane ticket to NYC
-pay the actors in the show
-help pay for promo materials, publicity
-bring BOOBS to the big apple, in the attempt to start me on my delusional path to winning the Tony for Best Musical someday.

But wait, there's more!

Any additional funds over and above what I need to make this happen will be donated to Groovetrail , my non-profit in Montana that brings live music to nursing homes and jazz education to schools!

Seriously a win-win for everyone.

C'mon. You want to see BOOBS. We all want to see BOOBS. You want to partake in the all-encompassing glory of BOOBS. Don't miss this opportunity to bring BOOBS to the masses.

About the show...
Set in the tiny, quaint hamlet of New York City, "Boobs" the Musical is the story of Carly, a talented, well-endowed young woman braving corporate America in the hopes of climbing to new heights in her career. Flanked by her drink-slinging bartender best friend Angela, these two women fight the uphill battle of being female in today's modern world. Surrounded by male colleagues of varying likability, Carly and Angela search for their own self-empowerment whilst navigating through the issues of unequal pay, mansplaining, manspreading, harassment, abuse, and the wonderful world of healthcare.
