Body Hair Picture Book
I want to encourage self-love, body positivity and body acceptance, specifically, accepting & loving our natural body hair.
A few years ago, I quit shaving and embraced my natural body hair. This path has led me to accept myself in ways I never could have if I'd continued to shave away a part of myself.
I believe that society has created a culture of body-hate, which contributes to self-harm, eating disorders, depression, anxiety and suicide. And I intend to do everything I can to change that.
MY GOAL: Create a picture book of females and males embracing their natural body, hair and all. I want this book to be beautiful, I want this book to be inspiring.
My hope is that everyone who reads this book will be inspired to fall in love with their natural, beautiful, magical self.
I've met thousands of people who think body hair is awesome & beautiful. And I've met many girls who want to see more women confidently rocking their hair! The more we see something, the more normalized it becomes, and the more comfortable we are with it.
YOUR DONATION: Your donation will go towards photo shoots, props, set design, equipment, travel, & compiling and printing the book once enough photos have been accumulated. This is a long-term project & I'm so excited to get started.
WHAT YOU GET: For every donation above $200 (or sometimes less if possible) I will do my best to dedicate a picture to you! If you donate and want a picture dedicated to you, you can suggest what color, prop or theme you want for the picture. (Keep it appropriate & respectful, obviously.)
EVERYONE who donates will appear in the book's Thank You page, because this book will only be possible with your help!
I will be so incredibly thankful for each and every donation. Even if all you can do is share this donation page, you'll be helping a great deal!
I've decided that for every donation above $20 (and sometimes less if possible) I will do my best to dedicate a picture to the donator.
If you donate and want a dedicated picture, you can suggest what color, prop or theme you want for the picture! (Keep it appropriate and respectful, obviously.)
Hope everyone is having a great morning!
