Help Save Bodie's Life

Thank you for taking the time to read about Bodie's story and hopefully you can donate or share.
Bodie is an amazing rescue dog that we found about 5 years ago. We found him wandering the streets, covered in mud, hair matted to the point where he could barely move, and scared. We brought him home, and after getting him cleaned up, his personality started to shine. He is the goofiest and smartest dog any of us have ever seen. He was able to learn tricks within a few minutes (with some smoked ham incentive..), was eager to "help out" in the kitchen or in the barn with the horses, and most of all incredibly loving to his his other doggie and kitty brothers and sisters
Unfortunately about a week ago things took a turn for the worst. Bodie starting to vomit, stopped eating, and with his back hunched up could barely walk or lay down. After taking him to the vet we found he had a large mass in his abdomen, and saw that his liver levels were through the roof. He was rushed to the veterinary medicine facility at Washington State University the next morning, they took a CT scan and found that the mass was a huge 4lb abcess attached to a lobe of his liver. He has since undergone surgery in which they removed the abscess, and luckily found another smaller abscess on his secum. He has beaten the odds of a 50% mortality rate and is currently in ICU still in a very fragile condition, but the vets are confident he will make a full recovery with more care. Already we have spent over $5,000 on surgery and post operative care and there is just no more money to spend. Due to some complications, such as obtaining sepsis, costs are still rising, and are expected to peak at $5,000 by the time he can come home. We will have no choice but to take him out of the ICU and put him down if we cannot find the money for the rest of his stay and recovery soon.
Please donate anything you can. Even a few dollars from everyone would help so much. Bodie has been such a blessing in our lives and has taught us so much about what unconditinal love truly means.
