BARACK OBAMA CHARTER SCHOOL YEARBOOK PROGRAM
This year, BOCS is expanding their yearbook program. It's important to have a strong yearbook team and quality equipment in order to capture these life-long memories and make them last.
The reason for starting up starting a Yearbook Program is for to continue on the next year and the next. It's not just a club but also an elective class. This campaign will allow us to raise money for cameras that is much needed for our school.
The cameras will serve the following purposes:
1. Allow for professional and rigorous training on semi-professional grade camera.
2. Provide quality images to the pages of the school yearbook.
3. Allow for yearbook students to take photographs in less than favorable lighting conditions.
Throughout the school year, students will gain skills in one or more of the following areas: page design, advanced publishing techniques, copy writing, editing and photography while producing a creative, innovative yearbook which records school memories and events. There is an emphasis on journalism skills in this class! Participants gain useful, real world skills in time management, marketing, teamwork, and design principles. Classroom activities will include reading, research, projects, and problem solving. Students will often work in teams, but will be expected to complete individual assignments in relation to the team's work.
Any contribution will be truly appreciated. Thanks for your consideration. Go Eagles !!!
