On Wednesday night our little family was all excited to fly to Sri Lanka to celebrate my brother, Craig and Allison's wedding. When we got to check-in we were told that our tickets which cost us $4,000 were not valid. The booking agent (BestJet) had gone under. We explored all our options of recovering the money but unfortunately we had booked on a debit card and bought travel insurance after BestJet had gone under...all doors closed.
WHAT A SHOCK!
We were offered new flights to get there for $10,000 which was just too expensive for us.
BUT...
Craig and Allison have given me the honour of officiating their service and I need to get there on time. I have booked the last seat on the plane and will make this happen, I just need a little help from my friends.
