Bluey 2018

Bluey's latest words > "This is a battle that is fought hard by all that have been touch in one way or another, my battle will go on but l will stay strong to beat this cancer, this is with the love and support of family and friends , "  

As most of Bluey's friends and family know he had a huge tumour removed from his body along with part of his lung last year and has been on a continuous battle with cancer receiving chemotherapy regularly.  Without going into too much detail, he has been a true blue battler and has an amazing spirit we would all seek to achieve.  He has always been an achiever but more importantly he has always given so much of himself to others.  This is evidenced by his achievements in surf life saving especially his beloved Cronulla Club having been awarded life membership at such a young age, always coaching our younger members and being a role model to all ages, as well as being in a lifeguard position of employment always caring for others. 

I'm not sure if everyone realises that he has not worked during this time of illness and having just bought a house prior to the commencement of his treatment, I can only imagine how much of a struggle it is to both Kristy, his wife and only son, Duke and of course Bluey having to meet their day to day commitments and of course a mortgage which is never small in anyone's lives. 

I have started this fund raiser which his friends and anyone who has been touched by him, and I'm sure he's rescued and helped many people in the Bate Bay area, can relieve some of the stress he and his family are enduring during this difficult time.

The more we can raise in the soonest possible time the better it will be for them and help keep them in their house and in the area they love so much.
