Blountstown Kids need a Playground this Summer!

Hurricane Michael devastated the Kids Kingdom Christian Preschool. This school loves and cares for over 90 children and helps area ELC families. Please help provide the TWO SHADE CANOPIES and RUBBER MULCH for the playgrounds These kids need a fun and shady place to play! Unfortunately, these canopies are about $3,000 each and the rubber mulch is about $2,000. *The state requires these for licensing so they are mandatory.
The two playgrounds were completely destroyed and the majestic tree that shaded them crashed through the school. Insurance covered only a small portion of total damage. The owner, Melissa Holley Jacobs, has taken loans and replaced roof, septic, plumbing, electrical damage, two perimeter fences and a large commercial playground and mulch for smaller playground. All new equipment must be up to current DCF codes and requires special shade, flooring and ADA compliant equipment.
For my part, I’ve donated new equipment for the smaller kids playground but without shade it is unusable in the burning Florida sun and not up to code yet. Every donation HELPS! Please reach out with any questions or if you have ideas on how to get equipment/mulch donations. Thank you so much!
