Football is all this blind ladies have!

Dear people:

We want to match the courage and strength this amazing blind women are showing every week in their football training pitch.

They have just a place to train but no equipment to improve their coordination, strength, technique or all the extra skills a blind footballer needs - you can imagine!

The 'Topos' ('Moles') are based in Puebla, Mexico. Are the second team in the country and want to grow and inspire other blind women to come out, get fit and socialise. They will also be training for competitions at international level and try to get in to the Latin-American Paralympic games.

Most of them come from a poor background and there is no governmental infrastructure to support them. The organisation running this team is made 100% of volunteers.

It is a very interesting sport, for example the ball has a rattle ( they are very special but very expensive too and only produced in Europe), the goalkeeper is not blind, there are coaches giving instructions along the pitch an so. If you want more info let us know.

In Mexico there aren't any educational programmes for blind people. This is all this women have to their lives, and it has a strong and positive impact in their life.

So We need your support! To give this ladies the tools to inspire others and drag more players to their team.

Update: after generous donations and speaking to the Coaches at Topos. F.C. We decided to continue with this fundraising campaign to also help the Children's team. Therefore, all the money donated after the 918.5€ the Women's team need, all donations will go straight to the Children's team.

The list of specific amounts to come soon. But so far we know they need more training equipment than the adults as they are much more active and there fore can injure themselves more often.
