Amazing Blessed News: Remin Raveendran is now cancer-free!
After his bone marrow transplant nearly a year ago, Remin’s recovery was going slow. His follow-up PET Scans at 3 and 6 months did not look good. By summer 2020, he felt so miserable, physically and mentally, he was afraid his cancer had metastasized. Then recently, Remin got his next PET Scan. It shows his cancer is in complete remission!
The chief doctor of haematology at CMC in Vellore, who had performed the stem cell transplant, read the results of this PET Scan, then allowed himself to express such joy and animation that a chance so remote as Remin being cured of refractory B cell lymphoma that had already resisted several courses of treatment in the US, has been fulfilled. Remin’s life is saved. That death sentence hanging over his head has been lifted. He is without cancer. He is getting stronger every day.
Remin has deep appreciation for people who were praying for him. He marvels that so many are people he has never met. (Neither Remin nor I understand HOW prayer works, but we know that it DOES work.) He also lost several friends of all ages, fellow patients in the outpatient clinic at CMC during the months after his transplant, who have since passed away from their cancers. We have no idea why Remin was spared and they were not. We just give glory to God for this mercy and thank God for this miracle.

"I have no idea how to show the gratitude for the friends and families who have given my life back .... that GoFundMe was not just a fundraiser program, that was enough strength for my friends to ask the God to give my life back .... I will be grateful for the rest of my life for the support and love I received during this tough time. It still feels like a dream, what just happened in my life…
“One of the main reasons for me to be alive now, your support was way beyond my hopes... I was very disappointed and expecting death any time, but finally that day has come when I hear the doctor saying Remin has no cancer ...
“After this cancer knocked me, I felt what real love is, what God is, and so many things. I saw God these days, and I do mean it.
“The care and love everyone gave me, and of course the inspiration to live…I could have died by now without knowing this world. I am so happy right now because that big worry of mine (that I am going to die, not going to wake up tomorrow), is gone. I am free right now. I don’t feel any burden in my chest or my mind.
