Blessed Hope Project

We need your help to impact the lives of these children who need it most!

We have raised $265,000 out of the $300,000 we need to construct the children of Blessed Hope a school they can call their own and be proud of.

Blessed Hope is based in Africa’s largest urban slum – Kibera (Nairobi, Kenya). The school has over 200 students and it is currently leasing the New Life Revival Church hall in Kibera to conduct its classes. There are no walls between the classes, and the church hall is at capacity. We have built temporary dividers to improve the privacy for classes, and have developed two small sheds on the property into extra classrooms. This is not enough.

The children often do not have the basic necessities for class, and the current classroom and general school facilities are substandard. In spite of this, the children are unbelievably positive, eager to learn, and rarely without a smile on their faces. In the 24 months that we have been involved with Blessed Hope, we can honestly say that they have changed our perspective on life and taught us how to be present in the moment, and grateful for everything that we have been blessed with.

In March 2017, we flew to Kenya and purchased the first plot of land. In May 2018, we secured the remaining two plots of land on which we will build the school. We need your help to get the rest of the way.

We thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Michael Hobbs and Kenny Vaccaro
