My name is Kelly Wells, and I'm a board game designer who often game-tests on Facebook by running online seasons of games like Survivor and Big Brother.
With "Blaze of Glory," I'm looking to create a new format to play a live game replete with brain-testing games with a large social and strategic element.
Because of how the game works, I'm looking to house people at my place, as well as a second location. As of now there's a fee to play the game, given that they're staying with us and we need to cover the essentials, as well as provide prizes for winners. What I'd like to do is remove the entrance fee to make it less painful for prospective players. In a scenario where a large amount of money is raised, I could also upgrade our living quarters from what will be doable, but a little crowded.
Even better, if we raise a good amount of money, I'd like to use some higher quality cameras and cut the season into episodes, and perhaps pitch the game as a series.
Everything about the experience - from the space to the quality of the game elements and board-game style pieces - would get a steep upgrade with a relatively small amount of money. I would also gladly talk with high-dollar donors about the possibility of appearing in the game, if desired, or just being around to view the experience.
