STOP #Sexism in Poker: #TimesUp

The World Series of Poker says they will disqualify a woman for dressing like a man. Is this fair?

Female Poker player and author Sia Layta intends to play in the WSOP this year....as a man...with your help.  Because of gender bias in the game, Sia wins 5 times more often playing Poker Tournaments disguised as a man. She documents this in her new book BLACK WIDOW Poker (to be published April 19, 2018) and her journey reveals the sexism women encounter in Poker competitions.

The WSOP (World Series of Poker) officials say NO! Women are not allowed to dress like men at their event. They promise to disqualify her on sight.

She wants to expose sexism in Poker but will need support to prove her point.

Is the Poker deck stacked against women?

Why hasn't a woman ever won the World Series of Poker Main Event in nearly 50 years of competition? We believe it's about sexism.

What would happen if a female Poker pro played a major tournament disguised as a man? Would she improve her chances of making it to the final table?

CardPlayer.com, the most popular Poker Magazine in the U.S., recently featured Sia in a news article about her brave journey and the sexist response from WSOP.

Sia hopes to play at the World Series of Poker this year...as a man. But the officials in Las Vegas say: NOT HERE. She needs to cover the legal fees to protect her right to play dressed as a man.

Help support this #MeToo event and send a message: Women deserve to be treated as equals, and cannot be told legally, how to dress.

Here's what your DONATION will earn:

$50 - Black Widow Lucky Poker Chip
$100 - Autographed Book + Lucky Poker Chip

*Black Widow Lucky Poker chips have no monetary value. Money raised will be used fund the legal fight needed to prove women should have the right to dress as a man, and so that Sia can complete in the WSOP on equal ground.

**John Malcom created this campaign for Mohr Publicity (Sandra Mohr Productions). Mohr Publicity is the marketing company for author Sia Layta. Sandra Mohr Productions will forward funds to author Sia Layta.
