Afrosocialists @ Taste of Soul
Taste of Soul is a one-of-a-kind event. Hundreds of thousands of (mostly black) people attend every year to celebrate culture through music, food, community, and ads. Lots of nauseating corporate ads. If McDonald's can sponsor the Gospel stage (ugh), our Afrosocialists LA coalition can show up and show out. In these trying times we intend to empower our brothers and sisters to work towards their own welfare, freedom and prosperity.
Justice-seeking organizations are teaming up to have substantial presence at Taste of Soul. The money that we humbly request from you will be used to provide a literal big tent to our figurative big tent partnership. This funding also allows us to print and distribute reading materials, show our agitprop, and engage with an incredible number of people. We'll provide information on critical issues like discriminatory policing, education access, healthcare for all, mutual aid, and more.
