Fund #BlackGirlMixtape Lecture Tour

Black Girl Mixtape is a multicity/multiplatform lecture series created to celebrate and amplify the voices of black women as authority.

*You are supporting the continuation of a LIVE Lecture Series tour that puts black women on stages where they get to lecture/speak as the authority in their area of expertise.
 

We are currently in the midst of an 8 city tour from Houston, LA, NY, New Orleans, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, and ending in Accra, Ghana in December 2018. This platform has given a voice to black women to speak, as an expert and authority, on their area of expertise - in a way that white supremacists, patriarchal systems often excluded them from the conversation. 

We are raising money to support this work. Your contribution goes directly to:

- Permits for each LIVE event
- Rent for facilities in each city
- Building an app to host our online digital directory
- Growing the BGM team
- Increasing our marketing/visibility capacity
&
- A percentage of all proceeds goes toward the tuition of high school aged girls at PACE High School in Nyahururu, Kenya and towards a continuing education scholarship for black women over the age of 25 to return to university.

We have been bootstrap up to this point and would love your support in moving this important work forward. Your support is crucial to our efforts to ensure black women’s voices are not excluded from these important policy-making and cultural production conversations.
