Black Girl Mixtape, is a safe think space for black women. It is a multiplatform lecture series celebrating black women's intellectual contribution and authority.

Black Girl Mixtape is:
A Live Talk Tour. (Imagine a TED Talk but specifically centering the voices and work of black women and femmes). In 2018 we traveled to Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Atlanta, Georgia, and New York, New York to share our stage and platform with black women leading lectures in several industries from mental health, to education, to wellness, to entertainment, to film, to academia. A Dinner Table Talk Series DocuSeries - launching January 2019 in Paris France. The Dinner Table Talk Series is an opportunity for us to have more intimate exchange than our lecture series. Each stop on our Dinner Table Talk Series Tour will feature a small group discussion on various, important topics relevant to black women across the diaspora at dinner (because food is such an important and vital connection in most grassroots movements). Each dinner discussion will be filmed and the various topics and highlights will be shared with all of our donors.
****We are always raising money for all of the above reasons, however, this particular GoFundMe Fundraiser came into existence because we are looking for sponsorship for the Paris, France Dinner Table Talk DocuSeries event January 17, 2019. Your contribution goes towards assisting us with: Leasing the facility, providing food/dinner for our 20 guests, compensating the videographer and photographer, paying the video editor, and being able to offer some form of gift for our dinner participants - as it is a part of our ethical practice to compensate black women for their labor (and their intellectual labor is labor worthy of compensation).
