Blackburn-Spencer Pageant 2016

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my Gofundme page. My name is Tatiana Boykin, and I am a proud contestant of the 40th annual Blackburn-Spencer Pageant. Also very fortunate to be sponsored by the amazing Student Alumni Board. I come from a great city in Ohio by the name of Cleveland. Home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. I'm currently a sophomore at THE Ohio University, majoring in Biological Sciences, and I enjoy laughing. Along with laughter, I very much so enjoy giving back to my community and helping others. This year my goal is to raise $3,000 for the scholarship that honors Martha Jane Hunley Blackburn and Donald A. Spencer.


The Blackburn/Spencer Scholarship and Achievement Awards were established by the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB) in 1979 in honor of Martha Jane Hunley Blackburn, the first African American woman to graduate from Ohio University and Donald A. Spencer, the first African-American to serve as chairman of the Ohio University Board of Trustees. Recipients are selected based on a combination of financial need, academic performance, and outstanding contributions to Ohio University.

This marks the pageant's 40th anniversary, so we hope to make it the biggest and the best yet. Thanks for your support!! See you there?
