Mission

I want to raise awareness and monetary support for the families of fallen law enforcement officers by using my passion for competitive endurance sports as a platform.

Inspiration

Last year a dear friend of mine lost a pillar in her family.  Nick Rodman was a great man.  At 30 years of age he had married the woman of his dreams, had a two year old son named Mason, and just happily became the father of a sweet baby girl named Ellie.  He was a brother and son to two fellow Louisville police officers, Andy and George Rodman.  Nick was raised in a family that is deeply rooted in the Louisville community and loves to give back to the city that they call home.

Tragically on March 29th, 2017 Nick was answering a call for a domestic violence case when his patrol car was struck by the fleeing suspect.  Nick eventual passed away from the incident, leaving behind his wife and 2 children.  This all happened only days after returning to duty from paternity leave.

Now passing the anniversary of this incident, Nick’s family is struggling to meet their financial needs. Unfortunately, this is not the only family in our nation struggling from this situation, but it is one that I personally know.  It is a family of people who offer up their time and service to help anyone else in need.  Now the time has come that they need the favor repaid.  Therefore, I want to honor this family by raising funds and awareness while competing in the journey of sport.  A journey that is made possible by people such as Nick who so graciously sacrifice in order for us to enjoy safety and freedom.
