For Amber

A year ago I had the pleasure of experiencing the best day of my life. Not only was I celebrating my 24th birthday, but I was going to propose to the love of my life Amber. Amber and I had been together 5 years at this point. I even bought her a gift to show that. It was an Auburn University jersey t-shirt with "Williams" and "05" on the back. I had invited 7 of our closest friends from Charlotte along with 5 of our closest SpelHouse friends and her closest cousin to my "birthday dinner". All along she had no idea I had purchased a ring on August 23, 2014...also known as the day she was taken off of the ventilator. Well long story short, the surprise went off without a hitch and she said yes. I barely heard her say it as the emotion of the moment lead to her covering her hand over her mouth and nodding yes. 

33 days ago the love of my life was called home. It was sudden and unexpected. She had a pretty good summer all things included with just one hospital trip for a nosebleed since June. Just the Thursday before we met with the caterers and event planner for the Reception. Then we had our last date getting her beloved Zoe's chicken salad and trying Steel City Pops for the first time. We never saw this coming, but she had run her race. And as much as it hurts to say that, it's been the only way I can stay sane without her. 

So once again, I want to give a gift to Amber on my birthday but with your help. I'd like to take these 24 hours to raise money for the Lupus Foundation of America to continue the fight against this disease. $1 from everyone who sees this should meet the goal of $1000.
