Bird Dogs! (Mama's Treatment)

Update 08/11:
At the urging of several individuals I have updated the donation page.

On Tuesday, the pups got loose due to the yard  service not properly securing the back gate. Lil' Bit is still missing, but Bruce and Mama are home safe.

In reclaiming them, however, a new issue arouse. In order to have Mama released I had to sign a contract stating I would have her spayed in sixty days or face penalties and tickets. The issue is that due to her heartworms, she would most likely not survive the procedure. I will be speaking with the vet again on Monday for options, currently they are writing a letter to try and explain the sensitivity of the situation and secure an extension.

Any support would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a Personal Trainer for an outdoor fitness program; at four this morning while setting up I was greeted by three phenomenal dogs. Since my morning crew is affectionately referred to as the "Early Birds," we've nicknamed them our Bird Dogs! Bruce, Mama, and Lil' Bit!

Each one is a sweetheart, though all neglected and facing varying health issues. When I found them, or they found me, they were infested with ticks and in poor condition.

Bruce- Big, brawny, sweet guy with some anxiety issues. Thankfully he tested negative for all the test that they ran, but he does need to be neutured. He's also an absolute ham

Lil' Bit- Overall good health, though she does have anaplasmosis, a disease caused by certain ticks. It's treatment is uncomfortable, but short! We'll be able to get her right as rain. And she's becoming vocal! But still skittish.

Mama- Mama has my heart and is generally glued to my side, she has an incredibly sweet temperament. Mama tested positive for heart worms, but I don't have it in me not to move forward with treatment. Also, spaying is in order.

As it stands I'm about $700 in for medical cost, with an additional $1000 up to move forward with Mama's treatment.
