Help, help me please!

Hello; my name is Kevin Buchan. I have a serious mental illness known as BIPOLAR SCHIZOPHRENIA.

All my life I've tried to do the morally and ethically right thing and that was never hard to do because I was raised, to be honest, and fair, to treat everyone with respect, and to always give people a helping hand if I could. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you has always been a rule that I've lived by. I'VE HELPED A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MY LIFE, AND NOW, UNFORTUNATELY, I AM THE ONE NEEDING AND ASKING FOR HELP.

I'M A RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC WITH OVER 31 YEARS SOBRIETY. I spent nearly 30 years in the same profession, retail automobile sales. I started at the bottom working my way up to a six-figure income. I had it all up until 2011; a nice home, cars, clothes, well-paying job and everything that went along with it. I lived very comfortably, had many friends and money in the bank. And then for some reason, my mind stopped working the way it had for over 50 years. The rug was pulled out from under me. I didn't know it at the time but I was becoming seriously mentally ill, and my life stopped being the way it was and I LOST EVERYTHING THAT I WORKED SO VERY LONG AND HARD FOR.

The first thing to go was my job after I could no longer function normally, and then like dominos falling one after another, the things I worked very hard for, my savings and possessions were sold to live and make my house payments. And one by one by one my friends stopped calling and coming around. "NO ONE WANTS YOU WHEN YOU ARE DOWN AND OUT" is a very true and sad saying! After nearly everything I could sell was sold, I stopped making mortgage payments altogether and squatted in the house until the SHERRIFF ORDERED ME OUT IN 2011.

In a stroke of luck, after I was forced out of the house I had lived in for 28 years my ex-wife took a job as property manager of an apartment complex in Ceres, California and was able to offer me a job as on-site manager and an apartment.

Unfortunately, after six and a half years things came crashing down again when the complex was sold. I lost my job and apartment and am now SLEEPING ON AN AIR MATTRESS ON MY EX-WIFE'S FLOOR trying to be seen and heard as little as possible, spending my days on the patio out of sight. All this sent me into psychosis and I was hospitalized 4 times where I was finally and correctly diagnosed with late-onset (most schizophrenics develop the disease in their twenties) BIPOLAR SCHIZOPHRENIA. Fortunately, after years of incorrect diagnosis and OVER 23 DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS, I am on the correct meds now and attend therapy twice monthly which keeps my illness at bay and my head on straight.

I was hospitalized 4 times last summer for Acute Psychosis and my car was towed and impounded. I could not come up with the impound fees so have been without transportation for one year now and Uber/taxis are expensive. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was beaten and robbed while out for a walk one night.  I lived in a bad neighborhood for 6 1/2 years which attributed to my stress. I was also head butted by a gang member. Luckily I saw a bright light and my skull was bruised but I remained standing. The other guy fell to the ground and the police were notified.

I HOPE AND PRAY through the generosity of people here on GoFundMe that I can get enough in donations so I can RENT A ROOM AND BUY INEXPENSIVE CAR to get back and forth to therapy, the Psychiatrist, and the grocery store. I rarely go anywhere else. Anything you feel in your hearts to give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading, and God bless!

Respectfully;

Kevin Buchan
