Bio-farming in Madagascar

English version

Wildlife and stunning landscapes make Madagascar one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Unfortunately, widespread political corruption, lack of infrastructure and hard to access financing make it one of the poorest. It’s  therefore extremely difficult - let’s say almost impossible - to believe in a project. Nevertheless, determined people like Iarivola et Nantenaina still try to follow their dream.

This young couple quitted Antananarivo, Madagascar chaotic capital,  one year ago, wishing to create their own biological chicken farmThey purchased a terrain in the highlands of Antsirabe and started growing one hundred chickens. Little by little, as their business was growing, they  included in their project unemployed people from  the surrounding villages, and now almost 20 families are involved in the production of biological mais that hopefully will be soon the only chicken feed.

Their project is now to build 6 new henhouses and to buy a small van for chickens delivery.

We met them by chance: our car broke down on the road from Antsirabe to Antananarivo, just in front of their farm. They kindly welcomed us in their home, cooked us pasta (!) and helped us arranging a solution to return home.

We are trying to repay their kindness by raising money to help them realizing their project.

Thank you for making this possible!

Hello everybody!
We are so very happy to see that this fundraising dedicaced to help us for our project " bio farming in Madagascar" organised by Lucia and Marcello is successfull!
This project can make our life better and we can also give a better life for the poor agricultural people in our town because we will create many jobs for her in producing our chicken feedstuff.
Thank you very much for everyone for giving us this possibility to realise our dream and especialy for Lucia and Marcello, thank you, because it is not possible to realise this project without your BIG contributions for doing this fundraising and with your love for us.
God bless everyone and your family.
